IntaTrade is a service, developed by Coventry University, to help West Midland businesses address cost down pressures and the ‘globalisation agenda’. It is wholly funded by UKTI West Midlands and managed/delivered through Coventry University Enterprises Limited working in conjunction with the regional UKTI Trade Teams.
The project helps West Midlands based businesses to realise their internationalisation objectives by providing a tailored business support service based on a ‘hands on’ approach, experienced advisors, intelligent signposting, financial assistance and self help material.
The services offered through IntaTrade aim to cover all aspects of internationalisation. They include overseas location searches, helping with cultural and commercial awareness issues, finding suitable overseas partners, accessing consultation for customers from IntaTrade’s strong network of partners and the provision of guides on a range of issues.
Examples of activities in which IntaTrade has been actively engaged:
- Setting up Overseas operations (e.g. Representative Offices, WOFE’s) in China, India, USA, Mexico, Eastern Europe, France and Holland.
- Joint Ventures in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Pakistan.
- Strategic Alliances – an in depth market study in Poland and partner search.
- Manufacturing under licence venture in Australia.
- Merger and Acquisition activities.
- Technological development activities
